I was born and raised in Oxford, North Carolina. I enjoyed growing up in a small town, playing sports, attending church, and knowing who my neighbors were. I ventured away from home to attend East Carolina University, where I obtained my bachelors in Recreational Therapy. Although, the degree sounds like a good bit of fun, there are endless opportunities to help individuals in whatever walk of life they are in. After working in the health care field for 8 years, I have found my way back home to be with my family.
I am glad to be back where I can see old and new faces, enjoy the nature country life has to offer and especially help those at First Baptist Church and in our community. For leisure, I enjoy going on new adventures with my son, Troy, gardening both flowers and vegetables, and practicing my pottery skills.
