Middle School Youth Group
There is never a dull moment among the Middle School students of First Baptist! Whether gathering for Sunday School, Sunday night small groups, or venturing outside the walls of the church, this group always brings excitement for life to whatever they do or wherever they go.
On Sunday nights at 6:00 (following rehearsals for Youth Choir and The Bell Ringers) we gather together for a meal and then split-up into small groups where we are encouraged to build community while learning to follow Christ. We also take time once a month on Sunday nights for games and other fun activities.
In addition to our regular Sunday meetings, we also gather together for local mission projects, activities that involve lots of food and even more fun, and an annual spring retreat.
Each summer, the Middle School Youth Group participates in a summer mission trip. In the past few years we have enjoyed Passport Camp. With Christ as their foundation, Passport empowers youth to encounter Christ, embrace community, and extend grace to the world. Among our most favorite sites are Georgia, Missouri, Florida, and Washington, DC.
Tammy Hight leads the group with a lot of help from parents and other adults who love spending time with middle school students. Please feel free to contact Tammy if you have any questions.
