Infants & Toddlers At First Baptist, we believe that the work of Christian Formation begins with the youngest members of our family. During the first several months of life, children are already acquiring language and becoming familiar with the sites and sounds that surround them. We believe it is important to provide a loving atmosphere where children can begin to be exposed to the sites, sounds, and symbols of our faith. Even our nursery is a place of faith discovery. Recently, we added television monitors to our nursery so that those crawling and toddling can begin to hear and see our congregation at worship. Week after week, they listen to us sing the Gloria and the Doxoloy, hear us pray the Lord's prayer and perhaps even watch as ministers and lay people lead us in worship. We also take serious our calling to be a family of faith. When babies are dedicated in our church, the entire community makes a convenant before God that they will nurture these children in life and faith. Children, young and old, are a vital part of our church family.
