Missions Missions Announcements New Men's Shelter Continue to be in prayer as we partner with other churches and organizations to open an emergency shelter beginning in November. If you have not already volunteered to assist with the shelter, please call the church office and speak with Kay Hale. Over the last several years, First Baptist Church has increasingly mobilized to become a force of change in our community and our world. Our missional efforts are amateurish in the best possible way: they are entered into with an exuberance that springs from our corporate love of God and neighbor. This love has manifested itself in numerous ways, but the most prevalent, and perhaps the most poignant, is our partnership with two historically African-American churches in Henderson, Greater Little Zion Holiness Church and Shiloh Baptist Church. Observably blessed by the Holy Spirit, this partnership has been fruitful because it has remained faithful to its calling. We look forward to seeing what the Spirit has in store for our future. In addition to our local partnerships, First Baptist supports mission work beyond the borders of Vance County through mission trips and our support of the global mission efforts of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
